Here's an interesting rumor that was in my email. Please note that this is rumor and obviously not confirmed, but if it happens? I'd totally watch it (*loved* the original).

So... lots of news this morning. 'Rex' is dead, 'Retreat' is missing, and it looks like a little project announced back in December 'Decoy Bride' is alive and kicking per an announcement at the Cannes Film Festival - filming reportedly starts in June. Article here if you haven't seen it yet:

Also - IDW's first DW Annual is now available for preorder from the shops - it's scheduled for release on July 28th in the US. Details and cover behind the cut! )

Going back to this post, a clean version of Peter Davison's message to Gally 21 has finally surfaced on YouTube. It's already been posted on T_L, and was later picked up by DT on twitter.

However.... )

Per DT on Twitter - DT is at the Radio Times Covers Party tonight in London. *patiently waits for pics*

EDIT: Photobucket is failing me today, so here's a link to the first wave of pics. There's pics on either side of this one, too.

And... here's a link to the first of the RT site pics! Whut, no 'Comedy Relief' cover pic?

2nd set of RT site pics!

And video!

The latest slate of Eleven books (for July release) has been announced:

Adorable Illusion, by Gary Russell
The King's Dragon, by Una McCormack, and
Nuclear Time, by Oli Smith.

There's no covers yet, for these or for the April slate (and no, I'm not bitter at all about the sudden slew of books when there were NO TEN BOOKS AT ALL in December).

And - DT has written the forward message for the insert in the DVD specials boxset - I won't repost, as I've already seen in three different places on my friends list, but if you haven't seen? Go find.

Also, we're just a few minutes away from the NBC executive session at the TCA winter press tour - I'm hoping there will be an announcement in regards to Rex, but even if there's not, it should be interesting.

EDIT: Per various twitter sources, NBC execs will be watching a cut of the Rex pilot tomorrow evening, and a decision as to whether or not to fastrack the show as a Leno replacement vs a fall airing of the pilot will be made at that point.

Per DT on Twitter, Rex will be filming today at the Hilton Checkers Hotel at 535 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles today between 6am and 7pm. They're supposedly attempting the pool scene again, now that the weather there is much improved. *hopes someone gets pics*

DT's next project, per DT on Twitter, will be a film entitled 'Decoy Bride'!

From The Scotsman:

As it happens, Rae is doing Brontë next. Ecosse has a new version of Wuthering Heights scheduled to start shooting in the Borders in the spring. Also due to go into production next year is Decoy Bride, a Scottish-set romantic comedy starring David Tennant and Kelly Macdonald about a bitchy American actress who comes over to Scotland to get married, Madonna-style, in a glitzy castle.

"The title kind of says it all, really," says Rae. "She doesn't want the hassle of the paparazzi chasing her, so she hires a decoy. Her boyfriend, who is played by David Tenant, falls for the decoy. It's a fairytale. Kelly Macdonald is going to play the Scottish decoy."
