For those of you who are fans of RTD's DW scripts, another one has been made available. The script for Smith and Jones is currently at the BBC Writer's Room, along with several other great shows, including the first ep of Life on Mars.

Link here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/insight/tv_drama.shtml

The script for Phil Ford's 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' episode (both parts), Prisoner of the Judoon can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/insight/childrens_drama.shtml

Enjoy!

Looks like we'll be finding out the canon identity of one of the characters in The End of Time in The Writer's Tale: The Final Chapter. *waits impatiently*

Spoilers if you haven't yet seen 'End of Time' behind the cut! )

In the production notes of DWM #414, RTD apparently states that Special Project #3 is now a go, contrary to what was said at SDCC.

I don't mean the next episodes - they're secret from Phil! And they're almost ready, with production about to rev up again next month. Just this morning, I saw the edit of Special Project 3 - it's not for Children in Need, it's something else - and it looks amazing, though God knows what it'll do to canon!

So.... as far as I know, here's the Special Projects thus far:

1: DT on SJA
2: Dreamland
3: ?

Thoughts? I'm curious about the 'canon' issue... didn't think DW had canon, so to speak. *grins*

Here's a link to a really nice interview with DT and RTD with Richard Metzger at BoingBoing.net. ***Warning for some spoilers*** - they show the WoM trailer that was shown at SDCC at the beginning of the video, and also discuss the last of the specials. If you're actively avoiding spoilers? Download and watch later.

Apparently there's going to be a new and improved version of RTD's The Writer's Tale coming out for next year... here's Amazon's blurb:

For this extensively revised and updated paperback edition, Russell T Davies and Benjamin Cook continue their candid and in-depth correspondence to take in work on the last of Russell's 2009 specials - and the end of David Tennant's era as The Doctor - while also looking back to the achievements of the first three seasons. With over 300 pages of all-new material, including new photos and original artwork, The Writer's Tale is a fitting tribute to Russell T Davies' phenomenal achievement in bringing Doctor Who back for a new generation of fans.

So... right now this is listed in a paperback version only, which is going to be a truly massive tome if there's 300+ pages added... hrm. The release date is currently listed as January 21st, 2010, presumably after all of the specials have aired.

Apparently, RTD has always known just how he's going to off David Tennant's tenth Doctor. Spoilers within for the remaining four specials! )

Per Blogtor Who:

Radio 1 DJ, Chris Moyles announced this morning that on Friday he'll be doing his breakfast show from the TARDIS. Yes, actually inside the TARDIS set. It's a stunt to publicise the launch of this year's Children In Need, but he'll also be talking to Russell T. Davies in studio, while David Tennant and Billie Piper will be calling in by phone.

Link here, where you can listen to the announcement (and look at the purty picture): http://blogtorwho.blogspot.com/2008/09/chris-moyles-doctor-who-special.html

Edit: Speculation about the 'something special' planned for this years CIN behind the cut.... )
