I suspect they'd be for completely bizarre and random purposes like for use as currency on a planet where they take any patterned paper as money, with its value determined by how much the recipient likes the pattern or some such.

File it under 'P' for paper, I suppose.

I was thinking of it as one of those 'inherited from Donna' things.
