Yeah. :3 I kept telling family there was this "Who" book I wanted (the first illustrated dictionary) Mum got me that and the Who Encyclopedia for my birthday. ;3 <3333333 Now I just need the Space Travels and Time Travels books (I keep passing them when we go because they're a rather large book to pack.) Heh. 'Space Travels' and 'Time Travels' are very kid-oriented - they have lots of pop-ups, lift-the-flap and other such nonsense. Baby likes them. *grins* I always have various and sundry DW items on my Amazon list, but my immediate family refuses to fuel my addiction - so they send gift cards to Amazon. *shrugs* Funnily, though, my sister-in-law's family grabbed two of the DW books off of my list to give for Christmas, and now I've managed to ~~corrupt~~ addict my two nieces, wah ha ha! Jordyn (age 13) will be getting some DW books for her birthday in May - her favorite char. is Rose. *grins* I am very evil.

YES! I looked through them... man, we were in the UK when Time Travels came out. :3 I almost bought it then but I wanted to see if they updated it as the series continued. It was... God... I hate to say it 75% off during Christmas Sales. I decided to wait (since we usually go at Christmas, I'd find it again). Now I'm looking at just ordering it to save myself trying to lug it home. :3 I loved LOVED LOVED the Girl in the Fireplace page <3333 AND The Empty Child/Doctor Dances page? AWESOME stuff. <3

They're good folks - I've never had an issue, other than shipping is slow. Maybe not as much as dolls, though!

Might be better to order, then? Those books are bulky and heavy.

I know! She happened to see one of Katy's books (I got her the 'choose your own adventures' series for Christmas) while she was here on school break and asked what it was. I was only too happy to tell her! *grins*

Dolls are ridiculously slow. A QUICK ship time is about a month. Slow... you're looking upwards of 6+ Granted they're all coming from places like Korea, Japan, or China for the most part, so the shipping is bound to take some time. And since a lot of them have different seasonal/religious breaks? XD; Right now the people that ordered the same doll I did? Are kind of doing what Who fans do to spoilers/spec. "OMG!? MAYBE THIS *insert shipdate/or who character information*" "Nah! More than likely its this *insert shipdate/Who spec*" XD; I'm avoiding it. Dolly wank/spec is infintely WORSE than Who. XD;;;

EXACTLY. And trying to get 2 of them home? XD; Granted I DID get remote control Dalek Sec home from England... that had to be fun for TSA. XD;

Heh. I hauled home TWO radio-controlled K-9s. Because little girls fight. *grins* I'll be back in the UK/Dublin, Ireland in Fall 2010, and who knows what I'll find then! *grins and plans to make things interesting for TSA*

*laughs* I think I was eleven? Or ten... can't remember. The girly-girls watch, baby included. She still likes to run around the coffee table when the theme music comes on.

Well, in some cases they're made TO order. In the case of the one I ordered in January? He's limited run, so... They're only making the amount that were ordered during the month you COULD order. So... there's only like 100 of him? or something like that. It ends up case by case with this company. The dolls I already have? Frankie took about a month (pink fluffy doll) to get to me, Georgie about 3 days but I bought her used. XD;, Ant ugh...2-3 months, Billie 3-4 months... etc. It depends on the company? XD; Well, its not so much spoilers as Speculation. No one just WRITES the company to ask (half the time) they just go "OH! Its not going to ship till HERE?!" And assume something... then everyone gets all riled up... but yeah. There's forums devoted to things like "I hate your doll" etc. I usually end up going "Dude. It's a doll. It's a HOBBY. ENJOY IT." XD; Which is probably a bit of where my Who stance came from.

XD; I wonder which I get more Who ridicule or Dolly ridicule. >>; My inlaws haven't seen the dolls yet. They know OF them, haven't seen them. Stepmum would love them (she collects bears) the others? No idea what sort of ridicule I'll be going through there. XD; Maybe if I'm lucky it'll be "o.O ... *speechless*" XD;

NICE! I'm working on K-9 next. I found Sec and wanted my Daleks more than K-9 at the time. With Woolworths out, lord knows where I'l find him now! ;)

Why does no one just email the company? Then again, you wouldn't have the fun of speculation if you did.... *shrugs*

I get more DW ridicule by far. Except from my sister, who likes Torchwood. My mom makes dolls, so you'd get no ridicule from her! Not the kind you have, though, I think. She doesn't do many, but she paints the ceramic faces to order. She made one a few years ago that looks just like my eldest with the blonde, springy curls. It's sort of freakish, actually - it looks just like her! Or did, when she was two.

We have to be careful with the dueling K-9s at my house. They're just the right size to get stuck under the stove. *laughs*

Yeah, and since the company's so busy? their hesitant to give out a shipdate since the order period is a month long. So when they give one, they'll usually post a schedule of the next 2 dolls and the months they intend to ship them according to when you paid. The dolly people just get REAL impatient.

OH! Yeah! there was a shop near my parents that did that! Porcelain doll painting! I think the dolls are amazing, just not my thing. XD; The babies, as cute as they are freak me out, since they look so real. <--- is so weird. I did TRY. I loved those dolls as a kid. Now that I'm older...they scare me a bit? They look so REAL.

My parents are into Who enough I don't get too much flack... Eddie's family gives me a BIT of trouble... but in good humor since my father in law/stepmum and brother in law all love it too. My brother in law has a Dalek mug that says "EXTERMINATE!" every time you lift it but they always go "OH! Gary! Roxy's way worse than you. ;)" So Gary's happy for the reprive?

My parents have been trained - been dealing with me for decades. *laughs* They warned the hubby to no avail. And he looks like Cap'n Jack! What's really odd is I used to date a classmate who looked like Turlough. And I ran into him while at the hospital looking in on my mom. THAT was weird.

Cool...don't have the Sontaran games one. Do have Darksmith 3, but haven't had time to read them, yet. (I did get the batch that was released on Boxing Day, and I'm enjoying them.)

I'm thinking I should pre-order Darksmith 4 now, along with the April releases... given that shipping to me is slow. *ponders*
