Well, it means she’s not consciously or subconsciously jerking him around, for one thing. Not that he’d ever be daft enough to say he thought she was doing so. Under most circumstances.
No, but he is lying through his teeth so that she won't feel bad. He is missing mental stimulation terribly, but he'd never tell her that.
What, so he had to keep her pure and unsullied? Like he’d contaminate her or something?
Or was he writing it off to be a Courtly Love sort of thing?
He's doing his best to tell her he loves her in a roundabout sort of way and failing miserably.
