I'll be taking off tomorrow morning, and will be away for the next week or so - internet access will most likely be spotty or doubtful. Hard copies of Seuls, Contagion (aka Bee!fic) and the little tentacle fic that still needs a title are packed along with their respective reams of notes. Yes, I know I do things the hard way. :P Everyone behave, and in the meantime...
( Bwah ha ha! Spoilers (but not really) for 'Amy's Choice' behind the cut! )

Finally home after a 12-hour flight from Santiago to Atlanta, a 6-hour layover in Atlanta (with the added special flight delay at no extra charge), and a 4-hour flight from Atlanta to Denver. There wasn't really much of a time change to deal with on this trip (Santiago is US Eastern Daylight Time plus one hour, so only 3 hours ahead of my home time), but I'm still absolutely wiped. And I'm working tomorrow. *grimaces*
There was one bright spot on the return trip home that probably will only be amusing to myself, but I'll share anyway. We were fortunate enough to score first class tickets on the Atlanta to Denver leg of the trip, which means you get a turkey club sandwich instead of having to buy a boxed lunch, and have a cushy seat with more legroom. The lovely flight attendant in the first class cabin bore an uncanny resemblance to Ianto from Torchwood - for those of you who read through my journal on a routine basis, you know already that the hubby looks like the good Cap'n Jack. So here I am, with Cap'n Jack in the seat next to me, and Ianto asking me what I'd like to drink before we take off. I ordered a cup of tea, of course. *grins*

From Santiago, Chile!
Argentina was fabulous, but we were sans reliable internet for much of the time, so am very, very behind. We're now in Santiago, but time (and unsupervised internet) are limited, so this is just a brief note to say that we're alive after a rather harrowing trip across the Andes at 120 mph, where passing uphill and around curves is a normal occurrance, and playing the same tango over and over and over is ok.
*waves at the flist*

Work In Progress II
Sep. 29th, 2008 08:39 amSo here it is - again! The promised 'Works in Progress and Requests' update. ( Here's a little bit of what I'm working on/musing about at the moment. )

Away, and a blurb about Series 5....
Aug. 3rd, 2008 10:10 amWill be away for the next two weeks starting tomorrow morning - visiting the motherlands and Chicago (for a conference). Internet access may be spotty at best. The in-laws are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and their vows renewal will be essentially like another wedding - and I have the dress to prove it! Fortunately, I can wear it to the gala dinner thing in Chicago as well.
Anyway, will be packing for essentially three trips today - halp!
And a little blurb I came across this morning from the Moff in regards to Series 5: ( no spoilers, really, but behind the cut just in case. )

Back from London - and am completely in the wrong time zone! *headdesk* I'll post more later as I'm going to attempt to get some more sleep, but in the meantime, here's a pretty wordle for you, 'cause all the cool kids are doing it. It's based on my one fic, of course!

Interesting that 'Rose' takes center stage here.
