Catching Up!
Late to the game on this one, but just in case you haven't seen them yet, here's the covers/synopses (courtesy of Outpost Gallifrey) for the latest round of DW BBC novels, due to be released in September:

The Taking of Chelsea 426 by David Llewellyn
The Chelsea Flower Show: Hardly the most exciting or dangerous event in the calendar, or so the Doctor thinks. But this is Chelsea 426, a city-sized future colony floating on the clouds of Saturn, and the flowers are much more than they seem.
As the Doctor investigates, he becomes more and more worried. Why is shopkeeper Mr Pemberton acting so strangely? And what is Professor Wilberforce’s terrible secret?
They are close to finding the answers when a familiar foe arrives, and the stakes suddenly get much higher. The Sontarans have plans of their own, and they’re not here to arrange flowers...

The Krillitane Storm by Christopher Cooper
When the TARDIS materialises in medieval Worcester, the Doctor finds the city seemingly deserted. He soon discovers its population are living in a state of terror, afraid to leave their homes after dark, for fear of meeting their doom at the hands of the legendary Devil’s Huntsman.
For months, people have been disappearing, and the Sheriff has imposed a strict curfew across the city, his militia maintaining control over the superstitious populace with a firm hand, closing the city to outsiders. Is it fear of attack from beyond the city walls that drives him or the threat closer to home? Or does the Sheriff have something to hide?
After a terrifying encounter with a deadly Krillitane, the Doctor realises the city has good reason to be scared.

Autonomy – Daniel Blythe

What unspeakable horror is lurking on Level Zero of Hyperville? And what will happen when the entire complex goes over to Central Computer Control?
For years, the Nestene Consciousness has been waiting and planning, recovering from its wounds. But now it’s ready, and it’s deadly plastic Autons are already in place around the complex. Now more than ever, visiting Hyperville will be an unforgettable experience...

I'm guessing these will be our last novels with Ten - I hope not, but I think they will be. *sniffs*
Next up:

Eeeeek! Poor DT! I'm assuming you've seen the pics of fans blocking Georgia Moffet's getaway car from (I think) Friday night? And tonight is the last night of Hamlet, and it's looking like there will be no DVD. Part of me is clinging to hope that this is because they're taking the show on the road, but no word yet. I can't even begin to imagine the insanity that will occur outside the theater today/tonight.
And this is from some insanely bored browsings yesterday in designated 'safe' areas while waiting for some tests to come back: http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090109/sc_livescience/womencansmellamansintentions
Someone must write a fic about this. Just not me! XD
And finally, it looks like the sprained left wrist will be requiring surgery. *headdesk* Unfortunately, my mother will be undergoing a bilateral knee replacement in February, and I'm already going to be flying home for that to help out/provide moral support and whatnot. Maybe I'll be able to get it fixed in March, if it'll wait that long.

BTW, do you know if the Teaspoon folks are in any way affilited with the CoT awards that everyone seems to be gushing about?
Sadly? I have absolutely NO idea. I'd heard about the CoT awards but... not until everyone started gushing? XD; Seriously, if I had any IDEA what they were, I'd have voted you in for THatH by now. :3 From what I'm getting it's a Who related voting... thing? Winners get... urm... bragging rights? That's all I know *hughug* Keep me posted if you find any info. XD; I've been a bit lazy with it.
I finally got around to working with the beta's you and Measi got me! XD; So that's a start for me! XD;
*gigglesnort* She sounds like SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!!! Mainly the fist thing. My niece will shout things like that... but no fists... just OBSTINANCE! (lots and lots of it) ;) Poor Dad, hopefully she warms again soon!

I'm only asking because someone (haven't been able to figure out who - nobody's owning up) actually did nominate me - for THANTH in whatever the 'novel' category is, and for Seuls as a WIP. I was starting to wonder if Teaspoon hadn't validated my latest chapter because I hadn't accepted the nomination - still haven't decided whether or not to, actually. The entire thing seems a bit contrived and silly.
She sounds like SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!!! Oh, she is. She's very, very smart and is going to be a handful. Help!

XD;;; *Snort* You DO have a handful. The intelligent ones are the worst! (we should know really ;) We are quite intelligent.) That's awesome though! That she's getting so much out at her age. She's surrounded by intelligence! Just keep her brain engaged so she doesn't get lazy (like I have in recent years XD;)

That and the fact that it's fanfic? That you really have no ownership over? *shakes head* I dunno.

Heh. She's just getting into the 'terrible twos' stage, so my main goal right now is to diffuse/avoid the dreaded temper tantrums! So far, she's a bit better than her sisters, as she usually only had them when she's overtired, so I can just throw her in her crib and let her ride it out there. I am a terrible mother! *laughs* She usually goes to sleep fairly readily after she has one, poor thing.

Good point. I'd say it's a nice "fandom" recognition. Now if you got recognition for something of your own, artwork, novel, job well done etc, that would probably be more worthwhile. XD; Let's just say things like that are one of the reasons I will only do fanart if requested. :3 (you and Prin are the only two to request so far... and even then... yours... or at least what I have lying in my brain waiting to come out is less fanarty. XD)
XD;;; OH GOD NO! My mother? I remember this time, I couldn't have been older than 4-5 years of age? I had a temper tantrum in the grocery store or something like Target because she wouldn't buy me something or other? THREW A Tantrum. What did she do? (normally I'd glare at someone who did this XD;) Basically went through the store putting EVERYTHING back while I was having my tantrum and going "See? All those people are so upset by your behavior we have to go home now. Maybe next time you'll behave and can get *whatever it was here*" My parents BEST weapon against me? GUILT. Which is odd. It's also why I'm also (in my opinion) not easily embarassed? My nieces throw tantrums... if I'm there it's "Aunty Roxy isn't going to like you if you keep doing that!" *From their Mum- not me* "Because Auntie Roxy only likes to spend time with good children." Which kinda made me laugh. I tend to relate best to the ones that are monsters ;)

Ooooooh! Now I'm really excited! *dances in anticipation*

*grins* That's what you're supposed to do, actually, or at least what every wise parent will tell you. If child throws tantrum in store, leave immediately. Your mom was kind enough to put everything back! *grins* I do best if I'm in a situation where I can just ignore said tantrum. It really doesn't do anyone any good to acknowledge it - just let it ride until the kiddo cools off. And oh noes - Aunty Roxy won't like me if I throw a tantrum? *behaves*

XD; Yeah, I know the girls I used to babysit? ugh. very VERY spoiled... mom would kind of "buy things" to appease them. So, when mom would leave me money and say "Take them to eat, and take them shopping." their dad was always suprised I still came home with 20$ at the end of the night most nights. When asked why? "They didn't behave well enough to constitute buying them anything." And considering they were old enough to know better... lets just say Dad REALLY REALLY liked that. Mom had to get used to it... but I'm just glad they had one person tell them no in their lives. I think it's going to be hard enough as it is for the younger one (she's not used to not getting her way). The eldest, luckily, caught on rather quick. XD but... I think that's because I was a big role model in her life at a young age. Wonder how those two are doing now. One went to NYC for school the younger? I'm... not completely sure?
XD;;; Nah, Auntie Roxy has her own methods of getting rid of tantrums (depending on the situation).

*dances anyway* :P

Good for you. There's way too many young people out there who have the 'entitlement' syndrome these days, and they wonder why they aren't getting hired for that six-figure job. Kids need to hear the word 'no' once in a while. It's motivating.

*laughs* Now you'll have to share, of course!

I've only had to call parents ONCE when I was babysitting due to a tantrum... that was just cuz I noticed the poor girl was turning BRIGHT red (she was only 3) and had a temperature higher than kids usually do at that age. She ended up being sick (hence the tantrum).
