Ok, so it's one of the 'Quick Reads', but still! This one is to be released on March 4th, 2010!

Code of the Krillitanes, by Justin Richards
Summary (from Random House):
“I blame those new Brainy Crisps. Since he started eating them, he’s been too clever by half.”
Can eating a bag of crisps really make you more clever? The company that makes the crisps says so, and they seem to be right.
But the Doctor is worried. Who would want to make people more brainy? And why?
With just his sonic screwdriver and a supermarket trolley full of crisps, the Doctor sets out to find the truth. The answer is scary – the Krillitanes are back on Earth, and everyone is at risk!
Last time they took over a school. This time they have hijacked the internet. Whatever they are up to, it’s big and it’s nasty.
Only the Doctor can stop them – if he isn’t already too late...
A short, sharp shot of adventure, featuring the Doctor as played by David Tennant in the hit series from BBC Television.

I wondered because there are books like The Stone Rose (one that I assume is not bad as many people reference / mention it). But then I heard/ read somewhere that the old serial novels were published/released after the ep they pertained to aired.

Date: 2009-08-21 04:24 pm (UTC)Oh! The books are rather good! They're geared towards a younger audience, obviously, but I have the Stone Rose. Loved it. <3 A lot of the 9 novels are evidently really well written to. I usually go by the audio book. If I liked the audiobook, I purchase the book. :3 There's usually extra stuff in the books.
Like a note Rose leaves the Doctor in the Stone Rose <333333333 *shippy glee*
The "novel novels" are the inbetween parts. They may have released them after the eps, but I don't think it much matters for all the inbetween stuff? As Mtemplar said, those are the Target ones. :3 Those were probably meant to be kind of a "Oh! LOok! MORE FUN STUFF about this ep!" sort of thing?

They are just going to ride the Ten train for as long as they possibly can, aren't they?
*pinches the BBC's cheeks*
Hang on, there's another Krillitane book coming out before this one. They should revise their promo copy, unless it's meant to be set before The Krillitane Storm.

Date: 2009-08-21 05:03 pm (UTC)It's set in medival times? Not sure where either is supposed to be set, actually.
Here's the blurb:
The Krillitane Storm by Christopher Cooper
When the TARDIS materialises in medieval Worcester, the Doctor finds the city seemingly deserted. He soon discovers its population are living in a state of terror, afraid to leave their homes after dark, for fear of meeting their doom at the hands of the legendary Devil’s Huntsman.
For months, people have been disappearing, and the Sheriff has imposed a strict curfew across the city, his militia maintaining control over the superstitious populace with a firm hand, closing the city to outsiders. Is it fear of attack from beyond the city walls that drives him or the threat closer to home? Or does the Sheriff have something to hide?
After a terrifying encounter with a deadly Krillitane, the Doctor realises the city has good reason to be scared.
