Special Project #3 Revisited....

In the production notes of DWM #414, RTD apparently states that Special Project #3 is now a go, contrary to what was said at SDCC.

I don't mean the next episodes - they're secret from Phil! And they're almost ready, with production about to rev up again next month. Just this morning, I saw the edit of Special Project 3 - it's not for Children in Need, it's something else - and it looks amazing, though God knows what it'll do to canon!

So.... as far as I know, here's the Special Projects thus far:

1: DT on SJA
2: Dreamland
3: ?

Thoughts? I'm curious about the 'canon' issue... didn't think DW had canon, so to speak. *grins*

This always makes me nervous in a bad way.

I'm still hoping for Ten II special I wouldn't mind a Torchwood thing in Pete's World with Ten II and Rose.

Canon schmanon. Aside from stuff televised as part of the main run of the show, it's all debatable anyway. And even the show contradicts itself, so... :).

I definitely got the impression SP3 was Who related in some fashion; I'm still bummed the CiN thing fell through, but assuming he's not calling Dreamland SP3 (due to the lag time for mag publishing), I'm really curious about what it is.

I would be so all over some Adventures of Ten II and Rose.

I'm thinking when RTD says

he's referring to Dreamland. Phil Ford also wrote Waters of Mars, but RTD says 'episodes'.

I'm pretty sure he means it might be something that Phil Collinson was still involved with either directly or during the planning stages, which means it's been in the works for some time.

Yeah, the "canon" comment is a bit puzzling. It's not as though Ten II and Rose in the AU isn't known to be canon by everyone who watched JE, so why would this -- assuming that it is this -- be contradictory, controversial or whatever RTD's implication actually is?
