And it looks like we has a new TARDIS interior....

Doesn't look that much different - I'll admit I'm a bit surprised. I have no idea who took this, but judging by the coding, it's probably Scooty from GB.

EDIT: Yep, it was Scooty. Here's another one of his shots.

It doesn't look that different -- more like an inorganic version of what we have now. Being fond of the bronzey/coppery stuff, I am pleased, though obviously the console is a biggie too. I thought Moff would be going for cool colors throughout, after that logo redesign.

And please, Lord, let us see SOME interior space, even a corridor. Having no hint about it for four years has been ridiculous (and RTD once apparently said the Doctor and his companions didn't sleep in the TARDIS -- oh, please. All that space, and they stop off somewhere every night? At least he never televised that bit). In the beginning of Tooth and Claw, I was left wondering whether Rose had ducked behind the console to change!

I'm surprised too! You'd think that after all of the drama with the logo, we'd get something completely different, but... nope!

*grins* Yeah, right they didn't sleep in the TARDIS. I remember that too, but not the context, unfortunately. I think it was after something fairly suggestive was asked in an interview?

My memory was that it had to do with removing a reference to bedrooms or sleeping or something in one of the tie-in books before it was published. Could be wrong, but it was disappointing. It may have come up again some other time, this idea that the TARDIS is a ship, not the Doctor's home. Except it is. It was in the old series, and it's even more so now. Obviously they eat there, since Rose mentioned running out of milk in TEC. There's no way they stop off in hotels every night :).

And Tegan/Nyssa's bedroom never existed, nor did Romana's....

Of course the Doctor and Rose didn't sleep in the TARDIS. After all, no sexyteims in the TARDIS, remember?

Heh. Maybe the Doctor is just a bit shy. *grins* Doesn't want the old girl to get jealous or anything like that.

I believe it was in The Betrothal of Sontar collection that this amazing revelation was divulged.

Now, I'm ordinarily respectful of creators and all, but this sort of canon-contradicting nonsense made me want to shout and throw things....

It was in an interview somewhere... I'm blanking on whether it was print or video.

The comics are so far out of official canon it's not even funny. We do know it's fairly safe to consider the current series of novels canon, because they've been referenced on-screen. But the comics? They've never paid onscreen events much mind.

Well, considering that her top was draped over a railing in the console room at the beginning of "The Runaway Bride," that may not be so crazy a guess!

He was awfully nonchalant in T&C for Rose changing right there in the console room. I wonder if he looked up even once for fear of gawping. XD

The reason RTD joked about the Doctor and Rose never sleeping in the TARDIS was in direct response to a question about David Tennant's statement that there was no shagging in the TARDIS.

In the start of T&C, the reason they set up the changing scene the way they did is because the episode order was being played with until a very late point, and the changing scene was designed to potentially link the start of T&C to the scene of Rose coming into the TARDIS with her pack on her back.

They did originally plan to extend the TARDIS' interior, but the space into which it would've gone became filled with the set(s) for Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

TMI, but just in case you were wondering. :)

It's possible there's more than one quote on it. I'll probably find it eventually, unless it was on the old OG.

If Rose had just entered the TARDIS with her pack, she wouldn't need to be changing, would she?

I'm not saying *I* think it was a perfect link, but that was their explanation.

Given that she looks like she's just got as much stuff shoved onto herself as possible like a student lugging their stuff to Uni (good gawd, that macrame hat!), I'm not surprised she'd be changing in an effort to be more attractive.
