Photobucket

The Doctor, traveling alone, lands at the scene of a murder on a space station in the middle of deep space. He must use every ounce of his incredible mind to discover the truth from the sole suspect, whose species lives against the natural flow of time. Writer Rich Johnston (Whatmensch) and artist Eric J (Rex Mundi) bring you this mind-twisting tale.

IDW's 'DW Ongoing #1' - Series, Release date: July 29,2009

Photobucket

At long last Doctor Who is an ongoing monthly series! Tony Lee (Doctor Who: The Forgotten), kicks off the time/space-faring series with the two-part 'Silver Scream.' In chapter one, the Doctor travels to 1920s Hollywood where he befriends Charlie Chaplin and, of course, discovers an alien plot!

Both comics will have an incentive cover as well as the cover pictured above.

I'm seriously hoping they'll be doing the artist rotation again for the series.

Yah. Although it wasn't planned for "The Forgotten." A close friend of the artist who began it died of cancer halfway through.

Heard that. Very unfortunate. Any idea if she's working again?

The inset on the cover is nice - not sure who drew it or why it might be there.

Not sure...I can ask around for those who're more in the comic scene than I am.

I think she has a blog too - I just have to find it again.

It didn't sound like she'd be working for IDW again, with the controversy over her basically being kicked off #6 for not being able to do it by their deadline. Maybe I overestimate the negativity generated between them about that, but she didn't sound too happy.

If that's true, that's really damned unfortunate. I loved her version of Ten.
