The Radio Times listings mag has just released a shot of the new TARDIS interior, plus I have what should be the rest of the episode titles for Series 5... obviously, if you're avoiding spoilers? Don't click.

It's finally been confirmed that Doctor Who Confidential will be returning for the Moffat Era. The first ep will air on April 3rd from 7:20pm to 8:00pm, presumably on BBC Three. Unfortunately, there's still no confirmation in regards to BBC Radio 7's Doctor Who: The Commentaries series.
( Title and program info behind the cut - no spoilers, as far as I can tell. )

Series 5 Start Date...
Feb. 21st, 2010 01:41 pm...Will be April 3rd, according to Blogtor Who! Apparently in a rebroadcast of the Eleventh Doctor's 2nd teaser trailer, this date was given instead of 'Easter'. Woot!

I can't say I was all that excited by the trailer, but in this case, thank goodness it's traditional for those early trailers to be NOTHING AT ALL like what the show actually turns out to be (ie Nine being chased by a ginormous fireball for Series 1, DT on the console room floor with all the stop-motion weirdness for Series 2, DT and Freema attempting an impression of George and Gracie for Series 3, etc, etc.).

The latest slate of Eleven books (for July release) has been announced:
Adorable Illusion, by Gary Russell
The King's Dragon, by Una McCormack, and
Nuclear Time, by Oli Smith.
There's no covers yet, for these or for the April slate (and no, I'm not bitter at all about the sudden slew of books when there were NO TEN BOOKS AT ALL in December).
And - DT has written the forward message for the insert in the DVD specials boxset - I won't repost, as I've already seen in three different places on my friends list, but if you haven't seen? Go find.
Also, we're just a few minutes away from the NBC executive session at the TCA winter press tour - I'm hoping there will be an announcement in regards to Rex, but even if there's not, it should be interesting.
EDIT: Per various twitter sources, NBC execs will be watching a cut of the Rex pilot tomorrow evening, and a decision as to whether or not to fastrack the show as a Leno replacement vs a fall airing of the pilot will be made at that point.

Upcoming DW Book and Audio Releases
Nov. 18th, 2009 11:09 amI'm a bit surprised no one's posted about this yet whilst I was away last week, but here's a list of upcoming stuffs, mostly for Eleven, but there's also one more new-ish item for Ten.
( Lots of things behind the cut! )

BBC Audio has *just* listed another exclusive DW audio adventure, featuring the Eleventh Doctor. It will be the seventh new series DW story to be published exclusively as an audiobook, in the same line as Pest Control, The Forever Trap, The Nemonite Invasion, The Rising Night, The Day of the Troll and The Last Voyage.
There's no word on the author or even a title yet. The only info right now is the release date, April 8th, 2010.

Theoretically, there should be news about the first slate of Eleven novels any day now. I'll keep checking, but I highly doubt there'll be any more for Ten. :(

RTD's SFX Interview
Mar. 16th, 2009 06:07 pmApparently, RTD has always known just how he's going to off David Tennant's tenth Doctor. ( Spoilers within for the remaining four specials! )

This has got to be a first....
Jan. 5th, 2009 05:27 amI open up my browser this morning, and what do I see on my start page?
( I don't think I've ever seen a DW news story on the US Yahoo main page before! Warning for THAT casting spoiler, just in case you've somehow managed to avoid it thus far. )
ETA 7:15 AM - And it's gone from the main page! *sighs*
