Mojave desert would've been better. I've taken the train from Chicago to LA a few times, and it passes through. Looks alien.

That'd be a bit of a flight for someone who's had recent back surgery, though! :(

Hopefully they hooked David up with first class seats. Those things are posh and not nearly as bad as coach seats for bad backs.

The flight would come out to about 6 or so hours. 7 at the absolute most. I really wouldn't want to be on a plane for that long after a major surgery. Poor guy.

He's not there yet - he's filming as we speak in Wales.

And yeah, here's hoping they'll have a smooth flight and he'll be able to get up and walk around.

If they put him in BA Club World or First Class, he should be good. If they put him in Emirates first class, well, that might equal the budget of the rest of the episode, but he'd basically have his own small apartment.

Have you ever been in any of their (Emirates) airport lounges? They are PLUSH beyond belief.

Still, I imagine they're either chartering or flying with the British carrier. I'm sure they'll take good care of him. Leg room (long legs is loooooong) is one thing, being able to walk around is another.

Yeah it is. I did Barcelona to Seattle on a back I'd messed up on a printer. Although the muscle relaxants *did* help me sleep.
