Cripes, if this chick really has just basically published every single thing John Smith scratched down, she could be in great whopping craploads of danger.

I'm personally amazed that it would be publishable in the form that it's in. I'm curious as to how modified it's going to be.

Either not altered at all, if they go with it as a sort of Griffin and Sabine coffee-table-esque sort of publication, or pretty heavily.

One does wonder how he'd have found out about the book; maybe he got a call from Jack, Sarah Jane, Martha, or even Wilf? That could be an interesting hook to get Donna back in: she buys the book, and Wilf and Sylvia see her with it. It mightn't be enough to trigger anything, since none of it would've been anything that directly involved her.

The one person that would be fairly recognizable out of the whole thing would be Rose (in terms of the drawings). It's possible JH's character might've morphed the whole thing into what is essentially a romance novel, which might well be enough to set Ten off if he found out about it. The rest he mightn't care so much about, especially if it had been fiddled enough to be unrecognizable except to someone (like the Brig) who already knew what was going on, but if he felt as if Rose were being exploited....

Hrm... not so. Cap'n Jack and Martha are also very recognizable, as is K-9! And if Donna were to buy this book, she might recognize some of the pics of the TARDIS? Dunno. It's difficult to speculate how Ten finds out about the book, as he appears to be alone.

I don't think the picture of Jack looks particularly like John Barrowman, and the picture of Martha is mainly recognizable in the hairdo rather than the face. People would not recognize K-9 walking down the street.

Other than Rose, the single most recognizable image in the book is that of Joan (and her grand- or great-granddaughter). Having a friend whose resemblance to her paternal great-grandmother is quite uncanny, I can buy that resemblance.

But each of those pics, coupled with the description that accompanies, would be enough for either Martha or Jack to recognize themselves on the page. They would both have Ten's phone number (of course Jack would be saving that!), so either one could alert him to the presence of said book. It'd be an easy way for RTD to work either one or both back into his finale. Donna'd be a bit more tricky to work back in.

That might've been true as far as he knows. More to the point, if he's not an employee of the BBC (which he's not), he's not held to the same Ofcom standards that say he's not allowed to lie. :)
